Repair or Replace?
We’ll always tell you which makes more sense. Repair is usually the right call when the frame is straight and solid and the problem is the mesh, rollers, handle, or latch. Replacement makes sense when the frame is bent, corroded, or cracked, or when you want an upgrade like a stronger door, a new color, a pet door, or a retractable screen.
Upgrade the Mesh While You’re at It
When we rescreen a door or window, you can choose the mesh. All of our mesh is made by Phifer:
- Standard screen for everyday insect protection
- PetScreen® for homes with dogs and cats
- SolarScreen® to cut heat and glare
- UltraVue® for the clearest view

Screen Door Repair FAQs
Do you come to my house to repair screen doors?
Yes. Golden State Screen is a fully mobile service. We come to your home or business in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Can you fix a sliding screen door that keeps falling off the track?
Usually, yes. The cause is most often worn or misadjusted rollers, a bent frame, or a damaged track. We check all three and fix what we can on-site.
Do you repair retractable screen doors?
Yes. We repair retractable screens, including broken handles, damaged mesh, and screens that no longer retract smoothly.
Can you replace just the screen mesh?
Yes. If the frame is in good shape, we can rescreen it, and you can upgrade to pet-resistant, solar, or high-visibility mesh.
What areas do you cover for repairs?
We handle screen door and window screen repairs throughout the Santa Clarita Valley, including Valencia, Saugus, Newhall, Canyon Country, Castaic, Stevenson Ranch, and Agua Dulce. Our extended service area outside the valley is for new retractable and large-opening installations.
