Sliding screen door repair and new custom doors, done at your home in the Santa Clarita Valley.
A sliding screen door that sticks, jumps the track, or has torn mesh is one of the most common calls we get. Golden State Screen is a mobile screen company, so we come to you, find what is wrong, and fix it on-site or build a new door to fit your opening.
Sliding Screen Door Repair
Most sliding screen doors can be repaired. Common problems we fix (see all of our screen door repair services):
- Coming off the track, usually from worn or misadjusted rollers or a bent frame
- Hard to slide or grinding, often from worn wheels or a dirty or damaged track
- Torn, loose, or sun-damaged mesh, fixed by rescreening the frame
- Broken handles and latches
- Pet damage, fixed with pet-resistant mesh or a pet guard
New Custom Sliding Screen Doors
When the frame is bent or worn out, a new door is the better fix. Every new sliding screen door we install is custom-fit to your opening and built to last:
- High-quality molded aluminum frame that won’t rust
- Baked-on enamel finish that resists fading
- Metal handles and metal locks, not plastic
- Steel ball-bearing wheels that are fully adjustable

Screen Mesh Options
All mesh is made by Phifer. Choose the one that fits how you use the door:
- Standard screen for everyday insect protection and airflow
- PetScreen®, a tougher mesh that holds up to claws and paws
- SolarScreen® to cut heat and glare on sunny exposures
- UltraVue® for the clearest view through the screen
See more about mesh on our window screens page.
Pet Options
Pet doors can be installed in certain sliding screen door models, so your dog or cat can come and go while the screen stays closed. We also install pet guards and pet-resistant mesh. Learn more about pet doors and pet guards.

Sliding Screen Door FAQs
My sliding screen door keeps coming off the track. Can you fix it?
Usually, yes. A screen that jumps the track most often has worn or misadjusted rollers, a bent frame, or a damaged track. We check all three on-site and repair or adjust what we can. If the frame is too bent to run straight, we build a new door to fit.
Should I repair my sliding screen door or replace it?
Repair makes sense when the frame is straight and the problem is the mesh, rollers, handle, or latch. Replace it when the frame is bent, corroded, or cracked, or when you want a stronger door, a new color, or a pet door.
Do you make sliding screen doors to fit my opening?
Yes. We measure your opening and custom-fit the door to it, so it slides smoothly and seals at the edges.
What colors are available?
Our sliding screen doors come in adobe, black, bronze, silver, tan, and white.
Can you add a pet door or pet guard?
Yes. Pet doors can be installed in certain sliding screen door models, and pet guards and pet-resistant mesh are available. See our pet doors and pet guards page.
Do you come to my home?
Yes. Golden State Screen is a fully mobile service. We come to your home in the Santa Clarita Valley to measure, repair, and install.
